Are we really supposed to believe that being black is an advantage for a man named Barack Hussein Obama?  First he is accused of being a Muslim (as if something would be wrong with that). Then he is accused of being the recipient of the support of the leader of the Black Muslims, Minister Louis Farrakhan. Now that he has established himself as a bona fide Christian it is suddenly revealed that he is, oh my—a black Christian. Barack Obama writes revealingly about his journey toward blackness in his first book, “Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance.” He seemed to finally arrive when he not only lived and worked on the south side of Chicago but when he found his faith and spiritual home at Trinity United Church of Christ (UCC).

Switzerland and Iran signed a huge deal on Monday for the supply of Iranian natural gas to Europe, sparking harsh criticism from the United States.

Experts said the deal, worth an estimated 20 billion Euros, may signal a renewed willingness by European companies to do business with Iran in the wake of a US National Intelligence Estimate that essentially eliminated the possibility of an American military strike on Iran.

Five years after the outbreak of the war in Iraq, the humanitarian situation in most of the country is among the most critical in the world, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said in a report issued today.

Because of the conflict, millions of Iraqis have insufficient access to clean water, sanitation and health care. The current crisis is exacerbated by the lasting effects of previous armed conflicts and years of sanctions.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on Saturday thanked the nation for their active participation in the general election. In a message, the Supreme Leader said that the great nation of Iran exercised massive turnout in the face of heavy magnitude propaganda campaign of the western governments.

Interior Minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi said on Saturday that the principalists won 71 seats while other political groups won 29 remaining seats of the 8th Majlis.
