| Sudanese Government military forces and Darfur's rebel movements have both committed human rights abuses in the war-wracked region, carrying out killings, acts of sexual violence, looting, the destruction of property, arbitrary arrests and forced displacement, an independent United Nations envoy said today. |

The Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, made it clear that after Israeli ground forces withdrew from Gaza that a 48-hour incursion which claimed more than 100 Palestinian lives was not a “one-time event” and operations against Hamas would continue.
Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian President, who has broken off negotiations with Israel in protest at the offensive, yesterday offered to mediate a ceasefire between Hamas and Israel. There was no immediate Israeli reaction to the offer. |

Afghanistan's illicit opium poppy cultivation has increased 17 percent in 2007 and the country now accounts for 93 percent of the global illicit market for opiates, practically all the heroin in Europe comes from Afghanistan, according to International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) Annual Report, released in Vienna, Austria.
The Board warns of the availability of acetic anhydride, one of the main chemicals used in heroin manufacture, inside Afghanistan. |

A meeting brokered by Baghdad between Iran and the United States over Iraq's security was postponed, an Iraqi government official said, a day after Washington alleged that no such talks were planned.
The official said the Iranian delegation, which arrived Wednesday in Baghdad after Iran announced the talks would take place this past Thursday, would return to Tehran after visiting Shiite Muslim shrines in Baghdad and the holy city of Karbala.
An Iranian delegation headed by Reza Amiri Moghaddam arrived in Baghdad for the talks, which were slated to take place last Thursday.

March,7,2007 -- We all know the greatest president in the United State is president Bush,well I will admit this came from is mouth so we must believed is him after all he those really believed that we are all morons.
Therefore it no surprise if that voters in two Vermont towns have approved to instruct police to arrest President Bush and Dark Vader Dick Cheney for crimes against there constitution.
Ah how do I love the way our great southern neighbor are ...

Electric geysers will have to incorporate solar heating by 2010 in all new houses valued at over R750 000,(approx. $95,000.00) or larger than 300 square metres, parliament heard on Wednesday.
This would also apply to commercial buildings, hostels, resorts and shopping centres, the department of minerals and energy told Parliament's Portfolio Committee on Minerals and Energy. |
